Yes exp booster really works one day when I participated in boat just I used exp booster 2 to gain in level I reached 1 new level and caught my biggest barracuda, ocean sunfish and some new fishes with an 5* really using exp booster in tournaments are good

what i am asking is does the extra xp go towards the total xp for the fish you catch or just to the xp gained for levels.

It doesn't gain exp in tournament exp but we get exp in level

Everything is perfect except i disagree about lake race you should take potion 1 and watch ofc but go alone or trow where everybody is trowing but little to the left or right dont trow in the same place because the best fish there is that bass 3* he can go almost 100cm and when you find a place where he works you will catch a couple of them but afther that every single fish will be small like 11cm or so... fish in 1 place for 2-3 min then change and if you have magic watch it wont take mutch time to find some other place where fish works... my theory

no, it doesn't. xp booster just multiply your lvl xp, not tournament xp... f.e. if you catch common salmon with 4x xp boost, in level range you get f.e. 40xp, but in tournament range only 10. rather spend FC to luck potion and clock, if you are not about to increase the level, but trying to win

Using simple rod or bamboo rod can make you win in magic 15 tournament because I have got 2-3 place with just simple rod and insect bait but dough is also good
I suggest every one to use insect or lures bait with a simple rod in race tournament.

It can be your taste to do so but what I have found out its not worth it

Why are there no rules listed for the tournaments? If I don't know what I'm supposed to do, how do I win? I thought that for magic 15 the system counts your fish and the first one automatically wins. Now I'm not so sure after I saw that finish line. Can someone help me by clarifying?

For Magic 15 after catching the 15 fish, you are supposed to cross the finish line. Each gate will open after you have caught 5 fish, so you do not have to physically keep count, the third gate will open for you as soon as you have caught your 15th fish and then you have to cross the finish line.
